**Bobby Jeffries Announces Candidacy for PA House District 106**
(Hershey, PA) – Today, Robert J. "Bobby" Jeffries, a lifelong Hershey resident, officially announced his candidacy for State Representative in the 106th District, challenging incumbent Rep. Tom Mehaffie, widely criticized as Harrisburg's most corrupt and disloyal elected official.
Bobby, a Hershey High School and Millersville University graduate brings seven years of leadership as the director of logistics for his family's health and wellness business in Central PA. He is also an author and public speaker who collaborates closely with prominent grassroots leaders organizing and participating in various GOP voter registration drives in the 106th District and across the Commonwealth.
Jeffries said he decided to run for office because he is fed up with Mehaffie's betrayal of Republican principles and values on several vital issues, such as:
- Supporting the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), an unconstitutional carbon tax scheme that would obliterate Pennsylvania's energy sector, cripple small businesses, and significantly raise utility costs for all Pennsylvanians. HB-637

Jeffries also slammed Mehaffie for his disloyalty to the Republican Party, pointing out that he was ousted from his capitol office by the GOP House Caucus last year after voting for a Democrat Speaker, effectively handing over control of the House to the opposition and blocking voter ID legislation to secure our elections.
"Tom Mehaffie is a turncoat who has sold out to the left-wing agenda and betrayed the trust of his constituents I talk to every day. He does not deserve to represent the 106th District, which desperately needs an authentic conservative leader who will fight for our values and our future.
